I am writing to share my success story with you. My partner and I actually first met when I bought his property two years ago and I really liked him then but he was buying a house with his partner of 5 years. A year later we were brought together by your website!
He first emailed me in June 2005, I'd been internet dating for over two and a half years and was starting to get disillusioned with it all. It wasn't the best time for me as I was in the process of moving. I liked his poetic titles but then said I didn't really have time because of the move. Then in October once in my new place, I decided to drop him a line. We arranged to meet and went on our first date in November. It was refreshing to meet someone who had similar views and was honest in that he wanted the same sort of things as me (was looking for something long term) and had a mature realistic attitude that he was likely to meet someone who had children.
Things quickly developed, he met my children and by September 2006 we moved in together. In May 2007 he proposed on bended knee in our kitchen (he was planning to do it on our trip to Paris, but I found the ring!)
I love him very much and he has taken on the role of being a father at a time when my eldest is now 13 is becoming a teenager, many people would run a mile at that but he hasn't. We started to plan a wedding but I wasn't happy with the cost and the way things were going so we postponed.
In March we booked our first family holiday abroad to Barbados. Then in May decided to get married whilst out there, we told no one - not even the boys! We got married in August 2008 and during the photos on the beach I fell into the sea, but it was a fantastic day!
We are both very happy. I would say keep going, but be honest -you'll get there eventually!
