I really didn't expect this to happen - I thought that I might meet a few people who I would maybe meet and become friends with but didn't expect to meet someone so special. There really was and still is "lightning" between us!

The 17th January 2007 will be a date I will always remember. As I was checking through my e-mails and had received an e-mail from Match UK about "New Members In Your Area" on that day. I clicked on it just to have a browse. I didn't think it would be any different to the other e-mails I had received but I was wrong. I came across a photo of a very cute looking young man and noticed he lived quite close to me. I also noticed that he was 3 years younger than me which didn't bother me. As I think younger men are cute! I decided to click onto his profile and have a nose. I soon found out that he had very similar interests to me.
I wasn't a full member and pondered to myself whether to become a full member and send him a message or not? Then I thought if I don't send him a message I would always be like "What if?" So I decided to take the plunge and message him. I upgraded my membership and then sent him a short message asking him how he was. He did replied and after many more messges, we arranged to meet up for a meal. It was a lovely evening, although it was a little awkward as we were both shy. But we both still really enjoyed it.
We continued to see each other each weekend as friends at the start. Then in March we started dating officially and have been together ever since.
We are both so happy and love each other very much. We even think that marriage will be on the cards in the future!
Match has made us both very happy and I recommend it to any of my single friends. If it wasn't for this website we would never have met!
